Hackulous shuts down.

Hackulous, perhaps the Internet’s most famous cracked app community, has dramatically closed its doors. The community shut down yesterday but that isn’t the only damage. Apptrackr, the web-based partner index for cracked apps and Installous, the app used by millions to transfer cracked apps to their iDevices, have also been disabled. The operators cite lack of activity for the shutdown but it seems unlikely that’s the only reason.

A statement announcing the closure on the community’s website weirdly attributed the shutdown to stagnation, saying:

We are very sad to announce that Hackulous is shutting down. After many years, our community has become stagnant and our forums are a bit of a ghost town. It has become difficult to keep them online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We’re incredibly thankful for the support we’ve had over the years and hope that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence.

There are many tips that can help drive traffic to your blog. Follow these simple tips to increment your blog visits and increase the number of potential readers.

•    Optimize the tags

Tags are easily noticed by search engines. To improve the visibility of your articles you must make proper use of tags.  Don’t abuse of them and concentrate on those that really matter. Tags also help readers find your blog when they perform searches on popular blog search engines.

•    Write Well and Write Often

The first step to building your blog’s audience is updating your blog with useful content. To maintain the interest and loyalty of your readers, make sure you have something meaningful to say to them and say it often. Remember that the content you write is what will keep readers coming back for more.

•    Improves permalinks

Ensure that your blog permanent links are clear and provide the necessary information. The URL’S must be friendly with search engines showing the categories, the name of the post or the date that it was published.

•    Use internal links

When you write a post reminder make internal links that point to the labels or categories of your blog, for example.  The anchor text (text that appears in the link), should include keywords that are referenced by the content that you are linking to.  This way you will get the reader to spend more time on your blog and also he will become a returning user if the content is of interest.

•    Create a site map

Search engines will find your blog quickly and effectively, if you create a map of your blog that updates automatically when you add new content.  If you use WordPress as a publishing platform, you can use the following plugin: Google Sitemap Generator, which will greatly ease you’re work load.

The Walking Dead (also known as The Walking Dead: The Game) is an episodic point-and-click adventure role-playing video game, based on Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic book series, for iOS, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was developed by Telltale Games. The Walking Dead was planned to be released in the last months of 2011 but due to the production and development of the project, the game was held back to early 2012. The game consists of five episodes, released between April and November 2012. The iOS versions of each episode followed shortly afterwards. Telltale has also published retail versions of the complete first season.

The Walking Dead is a point-and-click adventure game, played from a third-person perspective with a variety of cinematic camera angles, in which the player, as the protagonist Lee Everett, works with a rag-tag group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse to stay alive and reach help. The player can examine and interact with characters and items. The player must make use of inventory items and the environment, though these are presented simply as an option when interacting with other characters or objects; in one example, the player may be able to look at a character, talk to the character, or if they are carrying a food item, offer that to the character. According to the comic’s creator Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead game is more focused on developing characters and story and less on action that is featured in other zombie-based games, such as Left 4 Dead.
